This is a piece was built for Julie in Wisconsin. She was looking for a mirror to go in her entryway that would be a centerpiece and functional as well. Giving a home to coats hats and the like. She had a gorgeous storage bench and this mirror/coat rack would go above it. She really liked the look of the "Recessed Fire" so we modified it to the dimensions she requested and installed the mission style hooks. This mirror is a perfect example of the simple yet elegant style used by the early artisans at the turn of the century. Quarter-sawn white oak was the wood of choice by Stickley, Charles Limbert and others and is also the wood chosen for this project. Stained with "English Chestnut 233" and sprayed with a clear shellac.
Measurements: 36" by 20.25". Hooks: 5.5" high and protrude 3.5" from the frame.
