This over mantel mirror was built with an Asian flare. The stiles (vertical pieces) are cut at an angle. This trick draws attention to the entire frame. I used quarter-sawn white oak and stained it using several coats of minwax "Early American". Then I sprayed on several coats of a satin shellac. Lightly sanding between coats. This gives it a jade like smooth finish.
The inlays I've used really balance this wall mirror out nicely. They are made of black walnut.
As with all my mirrors, please feel free to customize to any size/color you want.
