This is one of my favorites. The customer was adamant about the "medulary rays" or flecking in his mirror. I spent 1 full day and ¼ tank of gas finding the right combination of pieces to build his frame. The flecking you see in this photo and all my photos is typical of all the wood I use. When using quarter-sawn white oak the flecking is what can really justify the time spent in purchasing your mirror. It makes the mirror a future hand me down family heirloom.
